Purpose of the Role

As a Digital and AI Engineer, you will design and deliver digital solutions using tools like Microsoft Power Platform and AI technologies. Your work will help teams across the business solve problems and work more efficiently. You’ll develop and support these solutions, working closely with colleagues in a collaborative and agile way.

  • Follow Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance policies, including completing any required training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools (like Power Apps and Power Automate).
  • Work with business teams and analysts to understand what they need and help design the right technical solutions.
  • Write and test code where needed to customise or extend standard functionality.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation to support the ongoing use of your solutions.
  • Stay up to date with new digital tools and recommend ideas that add value to the business.
  • Test solutions and help prepare them for wider use.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure systems are supported and updated as needed.
  • Collaborate with product teams and ensure strong day-to-day support.
  • Follow all IT processes and best practices (e.g. for change management and problem resolution).
  • Help improve reliability, efficiency, and quality through standardised and repeatable processes.
  • Make sure work complies with Harbour Energy’s IS policies and ways of working.
  • Support upgrades and enhancements of digital tools with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Bring

Skills and Experience:

  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to design solutions based on business needs.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and exploring emerging trends.
  • Ability to link business goals to practical digital tools that create value.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Knowledge of modern SharePoint development (e.g. using SharePoint Framework).
  • Familiarity with AI tools like Microsoft Co-Pilot, AI Builder, or Azure AI.
  • Understanding of DevOps and managing application lifecycles, including using pipelines and source control.
  • Experience using agile ways of working.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with teams across different departments and levels.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
