About the Role

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to support projects involving power system infrastructure & equipment including electrical machines, drives, transformers, HV/LV switchboards etc.  The work will include designing & specifying MW-scale electrical equipment & associated system integration.

You’ll help ensure systems are effectively designed, mindful of safely, quality, delivery and cost.  You will join a respectful, knowledgeable, inclusive and highly collaborative project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support electrical equipment designs and power system studies
• Work with electrical machines, HV/LV switchboards, and related power systems equipment
• Support delivery of MW-scale electrical projects
• Maintain safety and technical standards on all work
• Willing to travel within the UK and abroad for occasional short-term working

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related subject
• Experience with MW-scale electrical equipment
• Knowledge of power systems tools and associated studies
• Understanding of electrical equipment, systems, test and commissioning processes
• Is a sole UK National and holds, or is eligible to obtain, UK security clearance to SC level

Security Clearance requirements:

• Eligibility for SC level security clearance is required – To be eligible for clearance you need to be a British National and have lived in the UK for the past 5 years with no breaks.
