We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure our construction and infrastructure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction quality, engineering or site assurance who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and driving continuous improvement. You’ll play an important role in making sure our customers receive quality work, delivered right first time, while helping our teams maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and workmanship.

What you’ll be doing

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors and customers to promote quality throughout every stage of project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out inspections and supporting the supervision of construction activities.
• Ensuring materials, workmanship and completed works meet contract specifications, customer requirements and programme expectations.
• Monitoring quality on site and helping to resolve technical or quality-related issues.
• Leading or supporting audits, inspections and investigations, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping implement lessons learned.
• Providing advice on quality standards, specifications and compliance requirements.
• Working with project teams to ensure installations are completed in accordance with approved drawings, standards and industry best practice.
• Providing constructive feedback on subcontractor performance and supporting continuous improvement.
• Participating in project meetings, pre-start meetings and quality reviews.
• Identifying risks or non-conformances and recommending practical corrective actions.
• Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, standards and industry developments.
• Promoting a positive culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement across our projects.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about quality and takes pride in delivering excellent standards. You’ll be confident working with a range of stakeholders and able to balance technical knowledge with practical problem-solving.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience in construction, civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects.
• A good understanding of quality assurance, quality control or compliance within a construction environment.
• Experience as an Auditor or Lead Auditor within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or a related industry (ISO 9001).
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and industry standards.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
•  Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• The ability to identify issues, investigate root causes and recommend practical solutions.
• Effective communication skills with the confidence to work collaboratively across project teams.
