Role Summary: 

You’ll play an integral part in the functioning & success of our MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) teams, responsible and accountable for the fault diagnosis and return to service of various electronic products, ensuring that the finished product conforms to exacting quality and aerospace standards

Example: As an MRO Electronic Technician, you will provide inspection and diagnostic fault finding of various electronic products and final unit instruments. You’ll also be responsible for the assembly, test and inspection various electronic products and final unit instruments, using complex diagnostic tests and methodologies and high-level technical build. You’ll ensure that all assembly, test and repair functions are completed to the necessary quality standards – they meet contractual customer expectations and conformance to enable progression to final inspection and release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of the condition of customer owned property and it’s suitability for test.
  • Testing and fault diagnosis of electronic systems.
  • Repair of electronic systems.
  • Verification of the repair via acceptance testing.
  • Final assembly

Education/Qualifications:

NVQ level 3 – Electronic engineering or equivalent industry experience.

 Experience:

  • Soldering to IPC 610/ 620 (J- standard) or equivalent industry experience.
  • P145 aviation industry experience (desired)
  • Fluency in interpreting electronic circuit diagrams.
  • Practiced in the use of electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Practiced in following written assembly and test procedures.
